Kasayahan: Family Fun Night brought joy, laughter, music, and community to Saint Ann on May 16th in a beautiful celebration of the many people and cultures that make up our parish family. The evening featured performers of all ages, delicious food, dancing, and unforgettable moments—including a special guest appearance from Fr. Nicholas as a Macarena dancer that had the room smiling and cheering along.
More than just an event, Kasayahan was a love-filled gathering that reflected the heart of Saint Ann: people from every walk of life coming together in fellowship, hospitality, and celebration. We are deeply grateful to the many volunteers, performers, organizers, and attendees who made the night so special. Below is a special thank you message from Louigi Bondoc, the woman whose vision and dedication helped bring this joyful evening to life.
Praise be to God for all the wondrous things he has done for us! For making this event a beautiful celebration of "Oneness," all for the glory of his name!
On behalf of the Filipino Community of Saint Ann, please allow me to thank everyone for coming and joining us at our very first Kasayahan event — a fundraiser for Saint Ann Catholic Church.
So, what is KASAYAHAN?
"KASAYAHAN" is a Filipino noun that translates to "a joyful event" or "the general feeling of happiness," derived from the root word saya (joy). It is our hope that we were able to share that joy with each and every one of you!
It is through fundraising events like this, we are able to support and unite our community here at Saint Ann. As parishioners, it is here at Saint Ann Catholic Church where we receive the Word, the Body, and the Blood of Christ. We hope to continually receive these beautiful gifts from God, and because of that, we sincerely thank you for your support.
A big thank you for our friends and families who joined us this evening! Your presence truly means so much to us!
A big thank you to the entire Filipino community who shared their treasure, time, talents, and everything they could offer!
