Today, our parish gathered for the beautiful tradition of May Crowning—a cherished devotion in the Catholic Church where we honor the Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven and our spiritual mother. Rooted in centuries of love and reverence, this celebration reminds us of Mary’s humility, faith, and her constant intercession for us.
We were blessed with a truly beautiful day to come together in prayer and celebration. The moment the children placed the crown upon Mary’s head was especially moving—a simple yet powerful witness of love, innocence, and devotion.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who made today so special—especially Yamila and Alonzo, the children who crowned Mary, their parents, the ushers who guided the procession, our music ministers who shared their gifts so generously, and Fr. Nicholas. A special thank you as well to Marie Mays and Jeff Plate for capturing these meaningful moments.
May we carry the beauty of today forward, turning to Mary and asking her to lead us closer to her Son.
