One Parish, One Family in Christ

Hello! My name is Allison Hingley, and I have been a parishioner at Saint Ann since July 2014. My husband's name is Anthony, and our children are Susan, Samantha, Sarah, Anthony Jr., Simon, and Stella. We attend the 4:30 pm Mass on Saturdays (which is almost always followed by pizza night and video games—the perfect setup for sleepy parents). I have been actively volunteering with Saint Ann since Easter 2023: first with the music ministry, later in building our church's website and managing it and our social media accounts. These days, I am also helping with the bulletin and hoping to get communications as streamlined as possible. (More on those efforts and how you can get involved later!)
May 3rd is the birthday of Saint Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint. While alive, Saint Carlo used technology to serve his Church, promote volunteerism, catalog every reported Eucharistic miracle in the world, and more. Today seems like a great day to unveil this blog and share some of the future technological changes coming to our church.
The purpose of this blog will be to help us grow together as a parish community—sharing information, highlighting the work of our ministries, and offering resources to support faith formation for all ages. Saint Ann’s Community will serve as a central place where you can stay informed about what’s happening in our parish and how you can get involved.
As our parish continues to grow, one of our biggest goals is to communicate more clearly and more effectively with every member of our community. To help us do that, we will be conducting a parish census throughout this month and next. This is a simple but important step to ensure that we have accurate, up-to-date information for every household.
This effort is especially important as we prepare to transition to ParishSOFT, a new system that will help us better organize and maintain parish records. With clean and current data, we will be able to reach you with the information that matters most—whether that’s faith formation opportunities, ministry updates, event details, or ways to serve.
Along with this transition, we are continuing to build a more connected communication system for Saint Ann. You will begin to see more coordinated updates across our website, social media platforms, and MyParishApp, as well as a new community platform currently in development specifically for Saint Ann. Together, these tools will help us share resources for children’s and adult faith formation, highlight ministries, promote events, and make it easier for everyone to participate in parish life.
These changes are all about creating clarity. Our hope is that no matter where you are in your faith journey or how busy life may be, you will always know where to go to stay connected to your parish.
In the coming weeks, we will share more details about the census and how to participate. When the time comes, we encourage every family to take a few moments to complete it. Your participation will help us serve you—and our entire parish—more faithfully. We will also share how you can contribute to this blog, because we know our parish is full of incredible people and ministries whose work is truly life-changing. This space is meant to reflect the life of our community, and we want to help you share your stories.
Thank you for being part of Saint Ann Catholic Church. We’re so glad you’re here!
